Privacy Notice

Effective: September 21, 2026

1. Who we are

This notice explains how we handle personal information when you use clinicaltrials4you.com, when you create a volunteer account, when you sign up for trial alerts and when you contact us.

We are responsible for this website and for the information described in this notice. Some of our technology and support functions are handled by companies in our group and by service providers we have contracted, all under our direction. You will find them in Section 9.

2. Trials listed on this website

Some of the trials listed here are run by an organization that is responsible for your application itself. Where that is the case, the trial page says so and links to that organization's privacy information, that organization decides whether you are eligible, and we handle what you enter on its instructions only. Please read its information before you apply.

For other trials we take your details ourselves and pass them on to the trial site named on the trial page. Where that is the case, this notice applies to what we collect, and the trial site is responsible for your details once it has received them. It decides whether you are eligible.

Either way, the trial page tells you who will receive your application before you send it. Everything else on this website is covered by the notice you are reading now.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for targeted or cross-context behavioral advertising.

3. Visiting the website

When you visit our website, our server records the request your browser makes. This includes the IP address, the page requested, the date and time, the referring page, and the type and version of your browser and operating system. We need this to deliver the pages you ask for and to keep the website available and secure. We delete it after seven days.

To tell automated requests from real ones and keep our forms usable, we use Friendly Captcha, a bot-protection service. It checks your browser and your IP address at the moment you use a form, and it places a short-lived check in your browser that disappears when you close it. We could not offer the forms safely without it.

If something goes wrong in your browser, an error report is sent to our error-tracking provider. It contains the page you were on, the error, and technical details of your browser. It is not used to identify you. These reports are processed in the European Union and deleted after thirty days.

4. Volunteer account

You can create a volunteer account so that you do not have to enter your details each time you apply for a trial. When you register we store your sex, first and last name, ZIP code, e-mail address and your login details. In your account you can also add your phone number, your preferred contact times and your postal address; these details are optional. We use your details to run the account and to prefill your applications. Those are the only details we carry over into an application.

The account is a service we provide to you under our Volunteer Account Terms. The details you give when you register are required to create the account. Whether you add the optional details is up to you. If you no longer want the account, you can delete it at any time.

We also record the date, time and IP address of the registration and of each login, so that we can tell a genuine registration from an automated one and detect misuse.

You can delete your account at any time in your account settings or by writing to us. If you have not logged in for two years we delete it. We e-mail you thirty days before we do, and logging in during that time keeps the account.

5. Trial alerts

If you ask us to, we let you know when a clinical trial opens that may suit you. For this we store your sex, your first and last name, your ZIP code, your e-mail address and the language you selected on this website.

We use the ZIP code to find trials near you, your name and sex to address you properly, and the language so that we write to you in the language you chose. We contact you by e-mail.

We use only the details listed above for these alerts. Anything you enter in a trial application stays with that application and is not used to decide which alerts you receive.

We record whether our e-mails are opened and whether links in them are clicked, so that we can send fewer and more relevant e-mails. We use that for nothing else.

You sign up by ticking a box that is not pre-selected, and we confirm by e-mail before we send you anything else. You can unsubscribe from any e-mail or by writing to us. We keep your details until you unsubscribe, and at the latest two years after your last contact with us.

We keep a record that you gave this consent, and of the wording you were shown, for three years after the consent ends. We use that record only to show that the consent was given.

6. Contacting us

If you write to us, we handle your message and your contact details in order to answer you. We delete the correspondence six months after your inquiry has been dealt with, unless we are required to keep it longer.

7. Cookies and similar technologies

Some entries are stored on your device so that the website works. They protect our forms against cross-site request forgery, keep you logged in, remember the language you selected and your display preference, record your cookie choice, and carry the check that tells automated requests from real ones. We set these without asking you, because the website cannot be offered without them.

Anything beyond the items needed to run the website is subject to your choice. What you are asked depends on where you are, because different states give you different choices. You make your choice when the banner appears, and you can change it at any time under "Cookie Settings", which always shows the current items, their providers and how long each one lasts. Your choice is stored for thirty days so that we do not have to ask you again on every visit.

Our Cookie Overview explains what is stored and why.

Where your browser sends a signal indicating that you object to your information being shared for advertising purposes, we respect that signal.

You can also set your browser to notify you when cookies are set, to allow them case by case, or to refuse them. If you switch off cookies, parts of this website may stop working.

8. How we measure use of this website

We measure how this website is used so that we can improve it. We do this ourselves, on our own systems, and no analytics or advertising company receives anything.

For each page view we record which page was opened, where the visit came from, and whether it looks automated. We do not set anything on your device, we do not read anything from it, and we do not create any identifier that would let us recognize you on a later visit. The results are aggregate counts only.

Because this measurement sets nothing on your device and identifies no one, it runs without asking you. We do not run advertising measurement and we do not personalize anything on this website.

If you enable Google Maps on trial pages (see Section 7), your browser connects to Google. Google receives your IP address, browser information and the requested map location, and may receive our website address depending on the configuration. Google may also store or read cookies. Google processes information under its own Privacy Policy, including for its own purposes.

Apart from the map, which only loads if you enable it, we do not pass information about your visit to any advertising or analytics provider.

Beyond this we disclose personal information only where we are required to do so by law or where it is necessary to establish or defend a legal claim.

10. Where your information is handled

We are based in the United States and our main systems are hosted here. Some of our technology and support functions, and some of the service providers listed in Section 9, are located in Germany and elsewhere in the European Union, so part of the handling takes place there.

Wherever your information is handled, we require the same protections by contract. You can ask us about the safeguards we have in place by writing to hello@powermedia-health.com.

11. How long we keep your information

We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes described above. The individual periods are stated in the sections concerned. Where we are required by law to keep information longer, we keep it and use it for nothing else.

Where information is held in a backup or an archive, we remove it when that backup or archive is next restored or replaced, and in any event within six months.

12. Your rights

Depending on the state you live in, you may have rights in respect of your personal information. Where the law of your state provides for them, you may ask us to:

  • tell you what categories of personal information we collect, for what purposes and with whom we share them, and give you the specific information we hold about you

  • correct information that is inaccurate

  • delete the information we have collected about you, unless we are required or permitted to keep it

  • give you your information in a portable format

  • stop selling your personal information, stop sharing it for targeted advertising, and stop using it for profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects

We do not sell personal information, we do not share it for targeted advertising and we do not carry out profiling of that kind. Should this change, we will say so here and provide a way for you to object.

The categories of personal information we collect are identifiers such as your name, e-mail address, phone number, postal address, account log-in and IP address, characteristics such as your sex, location at ZIP code level, internet activity such as the pages you have viewed, and commercial information such as the services you have signed up for. We collect them from you and from your use of this website.

To exercise these rights, please write to hello@powermedia-health.com. Only you or your authorized agent may make a request about your personal information, and an authorized agent must show that they are authorized to act for you. We verify your identity before we act, as a rule by asking you to confirm your request from the e-mail address we hold. We will meet or refuse your request within the time the law allows.

We do not charge for handling your request unless it is excessive, repetitive or manifestly unfounded. If we consider a fee warranted, we will tell you why and give you an estimate before we proceed.

If we refuse a request, you may appeal. The message in which we refuse it tells you how, and it also tells you how to contact the attorney general of your state if you want to take the matter further.

We will not treat you differently because you have exercised these rights. Please note that deleting your information may mean we can no longer provide services that depend on it, for example our trial alerts.

13. Health information

We do not collect health information for purposes of our own. Neither your volunteer account nor our trial alerts hold anything about your health, your body measurements or the condition you are interested in. Health information is collected on this website only as part of an application to a trial, and it is used only for that application. The trial page tells you who receives it and who is responsible for it.

14. Security

We encrypt the connection between your browser and our systems, and we encrypt the information we store. Access to our systems is restricted to those who need it, each with an individual login and a second factor. Administrative access, changes to records and exports are logged.

No system can be fully protected against attack. If your personal information is affected by a security incident, we will notify you and the authorities as the law requires.

15. Children

This website is intended for adults. Only persons aged 18 and over may take part in the trials listed here. We do not knowingly collect information from persons under 18. If you believe a minor has given us information, please write to us and we will delete it.

16. Validity and changes

This notice applies from the date stated above. We may update it, for instance when the website changes or when legal requirements change. We will tell you about any material change before it takes effect.
